Wireless mouse- my first experience

Mar 31, 2006 7:29PM PST

I just bought a USB wireless mouse today for my notebook. I see that sometimes while mouse is idle, my cursor automatically shakes and moves a little( just like trembling and moving a bit from its original place and going away gradually). It,s a bit annoying for me. Is it usual with wireless mouse or my mouse is not good one, or may be something in settings etc?

Optical?
Mar 31, 2006 10:16PM PST

My three wired optical mice do that. I think it's an optical quirk.

Sorry I should have mentioned it, it,s optical. I want to ask, what is the difference in cost/ performance of optical and laser mouse.

Also after few hours of use, now it is ok, no more spontaneous movements but don,t know about what it will do later. Should I get it replaced?

Only if you like. . .

I can live with mine. It only seems to happen when it's just sitting there. When I use it it works perfectly.

I prefer the optical because there's no ball to clean.

Some more questions
Apr 2, 2006 3:50AM PDT

Next time I will buy a Microsoft or Logittech one, personally I like Logitech,s shape and want to but its cordless key board and mouse but I think in this matter one very important thing is Battery life/ chargable or rechargable batery etc. Can anybody guide about that. Also anybody tried Labtec, as they are relatively cheeper here.
I want to know how you can compare optical and laser mouse?
Moreover what is the advantage of BlueTooth? It must be much more expensive?

Cordless

I have been using Logitech Itouch keyboard and optial mouse for a few years.. we have a small parrot that would get on the desk and snip the wires...after a few replacements, the solution was obvious! I use NiMh rechargables, not a problem. They seem to last a long time before I need to recharge them..just keep an extra set and swap out.
