Wireless LAN for iMac, PC, laptop

I want to create a wireless network to be able to run an iMac, Wintel desktop, and laptop. Ideally, as well as web access from all three (through a Comcast cable modem) I'd like to be able to share printers (a business inkjet 2200 and an hp photosmart 7960) and read files across platforms. Two questions:

1. I'm looking at a Linksys router - any thoughts on specific capabilities I should make sure I have?

2. What is the best way to be able to view and read PC files from the iMac and vice versa across the LAN?
