Question

Wireless Keyboard for Samsung ua55mu8000 4K UHD curved TV?

Apr 5, 2018 6:30PM PDT

I recently bought the Samsung ua55mu8000 4K UHD curved smart TV. I was looking for a wireless keyboard and sorted the 2.4GHz logitech K400 plus. But came to know that this TV doesn't support the 2.4GHz RF wireless keyboards but only support Bluetooth wireless keyboard. I called the Samsung customer care and they suggested Samsung Keyboard VG-KBD1000. But I do not find it anywhere in Sydney!
Can any one here has experience with this TV and suggest an alternative compatible keyboard ?

Answer
While the Samsung keyboard is great if your TV supports it.

Many forget all that along with Bluetooth keyboards and try out the Logitech K400 Plus.

It's wireless as well. If you want to try other Bluetooth keyboards, be sure of return policies.

Looking for alternatives like the 'Rii k02+ mini'

Yes. But the Samsung Keyboard is no where available in Sydney. Was looking for alternatives like the 'Rii k02+ mini bluetooth keyboard with backlit for smart TV PC'

But not sure about the compatibility!!

Nope.

There is no copy or similar unit. I find a lot of folk like the K400 Plus once they try it.

K400 Plus is not a bluetooth keyboard.

Yes but K400 Plus is not a bluetooth one. I need a compatible bluetooth keyboard as the TV set doesn't support 2.4GHz RF keyboards. (thats what I heard).

Doesn't need to be Bluetooth.

It comes with a dongle that I plug into the TV or device. If you want a Bluetooth keyboard, shop for that. I don't see why given how well the K400 Plus works.

Tip: For a bit more range, get a short USB extension cable to move the USB dongle from behind the TV to just visible.
