Question

wireless keyboard

Apr 11, 2015 5:04AM PDT

My wife was typing a letter on Word and it suddenly stopped typing. I changed the batteries in her keyboard but that did not help. I removed her keyboard and installed the keyboard from my computer to hers. It still did not work. Her keyboard works fine on my computer. So I think that it is not the keyboards but some kind of glitch in her computer. Can anybody help? The mouse works but the keyboard does not. I tried 2 different keyboards on hers and they don't work. Both of them work on my computer. What gives???

And I'm guessing here you tried rebooting and the rear, front, side and top USB ports on this PC?

I had an errand to do, so I turned off my wife's computer. I got back about 15 minutes ago and turned her computer back on as I was going to try again to troubleshoot the keyboard. I was surprised because now the keyboard works well. So all I did was turned the computer off and then back on again to make the keyboard work. I don't understand it but I am glad it is working again. Same thing sometimes happens to my TV. The sound goes off. Then I shut it down for 5 minutes. I turn it back on and then it is OK.

It is OK now. Everything works. I turned off the computer for about a half hour. Then I turned it back on and it was fixed. Thanks
