Wireless internet issues with new Windows7 laptop

Jan 4, 2010 1:30PM PST

So I have an older laptop running XP and just got a new one running Windows 7. The new one will not connect to my wireless network. The name of the network is detected, I am entering the password correctly (100% sure) and my old computer is still connected... I cleared my cache and tried to reconfig the connection but nothing seems to work-rebooted both the router and the modem and did a 30 minute tech call with the router support...Any chance it can be my time warner internet? I called them and of course they offered little information and said it should be working. Any clue what the deal is??? So annoying! and ps it has an internal wireless card so it isn't that I am missing that component.

WEP is used. Use WPA or if you can, WPA2.
