Wireless Internet Gaming crashes

by Falco_00 / May 9, 2008 11:03 PM PDT

I use a 2Wire 2701HGV-W wireless modem that's connected to Bigpond, with a 25gb download limit then slowed, and my speed is 1500/256kbps. Between 5 and 30 minutes on games, my wireless dies and I lose connection for 10-20 seconds. This only works when I'm in an online match, and on games such as Counter-Strike Source, Day Of Defeat Source, The Battlefield series, F.E.A.R. Multiplayer, World of Warcraft, amongst others.

When said crash happens, my modem loses two solid green lights in the DSL and Internet sections, and my DSL light flashes red until it is restored. Is there a problem with my hardware, my computer or have I just failed to do something properly?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I have checked the first three pages of results with the search button but couldn't find any help.

P.S.S. Forgive me if this is in the wrong section.
