I'm going to share two types of devices. One is powerline networking that you can get bonus use out of. Here's one with WiFi and Wired. https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Powerline-Gigabit-Wi-Fi-2-Kit/dp/B00HSQAIQU/
Another but not as useful in my view is the old travel router that has the WiFi client feature.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TQEX8BO/ in it's client mode is a little less money and lets you power it from an USB port on your laptop. Might be nice for use in other WiFi hotspots.
I have a work laptop that won't let me download a wireless adapter. My internet router is in the living room. But, to hardwire the laptop, I would need to be in the living room and I really need to work in the bedroom for peace and quiet and sanity's sake.
Is there an adapter I can plug into the wall and then hardwire into my laptop in the bedroom?
