Wireless Internet Connection Sharing

Feb 20, 2005 5:10PM PST

I'm using a wireless network at home with 2-4 PC's connecting through one PC with internet connection sharing turned on. I'm not using a Router or anything other than PCI wireless cards, and have set them to use an ad-hoc network. Most of the time this set up works fine, but when theres heavy traffic (such as bit torrent running, webcam, multiple downloads etc.)it resets the computer with the internet connection (at random times). I thought it was just the crappy packard bell that i was using for the internet connection but have just got a new motherboard and chipset and am having the same problem. Is this normal? I can't afford a router at the moment. The previous motherboard burnt out 2 days ago and I think it might be because of this (and i don't want to lose the new mobo).
