Wireless Headsets/Microphones for the PC

Mar 6, 2006 7:45AM PST

I am looking for a list of wireless PC compatible microphones but in having trouble finding it very many -- and it may be a function of my noobishness to the hardware in general. The microphone he not have an extensive range but preferably would allow the user to access the computer from anywhere in the average home. The list is for use as a resource in an Adaptive Technology Lab and will be used to give recommendations to patients with high spinal cord injuries (C4 and above).

The microphone must have noise cancellation technology and be able to interface with voice recognition software. The Emkay RF microphone (Emkay RF Mike, apologies in advance for the commercial site) is the only one I have found that I can be confident works as necessary.

I have looked at a number of Bluetooth headsets/microphones, but they are uniformly oblique about whether or not they work outside of VoIP applications. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Scott
