Amazon has a lot more choices on the convertor but let's cover a VERY important issue with Samsung today. Ready?
If the source is HDMI, Samsung does not pass HD audio, So this creates a situation where nothing works.
It may be too much of a challenge for some but let's go over the fix. On the source send only stereo, PCM or 2.1 audio. You may have to test that a few times. Also for the TV set it to stereo or PCM. Test again. In APPs such as Netflix always set it to stereo audio.
That should clear up the encoding issues and the non-passing of HD audio by not sending HD audio in the first place.
I have yet to find this to be an amplifier issue.
Hi guys,
I have a pair of senneiher HDR-116-II headset that was working great with my older TV but wont work on the new Series 7 we just bought. There is no more Red and yellow output on the back of the tv, only an optical output. So i bougth a optical cable and converter box that convert the signal from digital to analog and plugged it but no success. Went back to the store and they told me i needed to add an amplifier to the mix witch i did but still no sound coming out of the wireless earphones except some static noises...
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks in advance.
Oliver
