In order to know all your options regarding configuration/compatibility, we need all makes models. The whole shebang.
Definitely go RF if possible.
That said, regarding #2 might be a non-starter, or a lot of trial and error. Let's start with model numbers to help in this regard. The only site I have seen with semi-decent reviews and connection recommendations is at the wirecutter. You will likely need a toslink to RCA converter to get this ship moving along. Look/read here:

Hello Everyone.
I do not know a lot about home theater solutions, so please, forgive me if any of the questions are worded incorrectly or incoherently.
I have a small child and our ability to use our Home THeater system has greatly diminished. I can use it during the day and that's it.
At night, I would like to use headphones so that I can keep the volume up, but I would also like to keep the quality at a good level. We need to support 3 headphones or more.
Here are my questions:
1 - RF vs Bluetooth - Which one is best for Home Theater? My Bluetooth connection with the phone always exibits delays but my phone is almost 3 years old, so I am not sure if this issue still exists.
2 - In Gaming, I can get a 7.1 simulation headphones which makes spacing feel
very good. Is this surround effect available on Home theater headphones?
3 - My output connection is TOS Link (Digital). What are the best sounding home theater headphone sets that won't break the bank?
Thank you all in advance.
