wireless hardware question

Want to sign up for Bellsouth's new pricing, $24.95 month.

Want to share with my son who lives in a separate building behind my building. It is about 50-70 feet from my back door to his. Will this work? Does the wireless router and the wireless adapter have to be the same brand? Thanks, Ron rbockman@yahoo.com

It matters where your computer sits compared to the back door of 50-70ft. i direct line of view a good thing too.

On the brands and being the same. i would get the same just because they are tested to work together, even tho all G should work with all G

I have a DLink DI624 router and the laptop card to go with it
but my brother has a netgear PCI in his Pc and it works so its up to you really
