In our forum sticky, if you follow it you find we recommend starting with WPA, SSID broadcast and the latest router firmware.
We have a wireless network set up for our house, with six computers. The five pc's in the house all pick up the signal fine, every onec and a while there are gaps but generally no problems. My mac however seems to have more trouble. msn messenger will run most of the time with no problems, but actually loading webpages is a problem, and more often then not my browsers (omni web, safari), cant connect.
It doesnt matter where the computer is in the house, or even if it is hooked up to the wireless router by a wire.
i just got the mac three weeks ago, and it has no trouble connection to other wireless networks that i have found on campus, be they household networks or the universities network.
i wonder if anyone has any idea on why it may be the case that the network in my home is giving my computer problems. the router is a Blitzz netwave base II.
any thoughts would be great, thanks.
