Wireless Drops every 60 minutes

Mar 23, 2006 10:42PM PST

I have a strange problem that no one seems to be able to solve (Dell, SBC, A couple of internet experts).

On my Dell D610 laptop, the wireless will drop out every 60 minutes for about 2-3 seconds. Then it comes back and everything works fine. It does this on my home network (SBC DSL 2WIRE) and at work (no idea what type of network). But it does NOT do it at my parents house (Comcast) or if I boot into safe mode.

The PC has been very thoroughly checked for viruses and spyware and come up empty. The wireless modem was replaced by Dell and that didn't solve the problem. SBC doesn't think it's the network. I also tried purchasing a new wireless card from Best Buy, and removed the one in the laptop but that didn't solve the problem.

There are no settings in the wireless driver to refresh or power save, etc. I do have the latest drivers.

The card is an Intel PRO/Wireless 220BG, driver version 9.0.3.9.

Any thoughts?
