Wireless Desktop

Sep 11, 2006 11:34AM PDT

I have an HP Pavilion m7580n PC with a wireless keyboard and mouse. The batteries included with the new system didn't last long, however when replaced with a complete fresh set, they seem to be hanging in there. I have a question for anyone who might know...Is there a small utility out there that will monitor the battery levels of the keyboard and/or mouse in this wireless setup?

Don't have HP here...

...but the Logitech Wireless Keyboard and Mice have software which pops up "Battery low" and "Battery Critical" warnings, when levels get low.

Open your Control Panel and double click on the Mouse/Keyboard icons. If it's anything similar, it might hopefully have the special "Cordless" type tabs, which allow it to check and display the battery level.

Good luck,

GeeBee.

Regarding Batteries

I wish it were so...

I even went to the HP website to upgrade the keyboard driver, without any luck. There are popups of some sort for the mouse and keyboard, but only after the batteries go near critical. I'm looking for an all the time type of monitor which could maybe be clicked on to show percent of battery life.

Thanx for the reply!
