Question

Wireless connectivity issue

I am having trouble in getting connected to network via wifi networks available in my office. I am able to connect to the network automatically since I have the password already saved. But sometimes I need to give password since the laptop not able to connect it automatically . It is irritating. Also i experience some instability in getting connected . How can I troubleshoot this issue. Other employees also experience same issue . Can this be a problem with our Cisco WLC and associated APs ? How can I troubleshoot this and get out of this instability problem.

That's a question for the company's IT-staff or the outsourcing partner that installed and maintains the office network.

But can i get some suggestions for troubleshooting since no IT staff is here as of now.

There even is a chance one of the tips will help, although with you it's more complicated because there is not only a router involved, but also access points. That's why I suggested a professional who has professional tools and experience.

Unless you happen to be a garage or a plumber, I assume your company doesn't maintain and fix its cars and its central heating. Why then fix your network yourself?

That gear is usually managed by staff or on call support. The most common issue I ran into is an overloaded access point or the office is just a little on the edge of coverage. Both are fixed by installing an access point to service the dodgy area. As I am not your system support and don't know your cable/network plant I can only share the usual I run into.
