Wireless Connection Problems *Help Me*

Nov 2, 2004 6:00AM PST

Basically my Wireless internet works perfectly and quite fast all the time... Except whenever I recieve a phone call I am disconnected from the internet. This is quite annoying while surfing or playing online games etc....

There is no reason for this to be happening as far as I can see. We have all the filters placed on phones, Sympatico WireLess internet that should allow us to surf and talk at the same time.

So if anyone has had this problem or knows the solution. Could I please get some answers?

Unplug your cordless phones until you find which one causes the issue.

I have found out which phone causes the problem. The cordless phone that is in the double jack with the Linksys Box.

Can i just not have a phone in the same jack as the Linksys connection box?

Change frequency?

I swapped out a 2.4GHz cordless for a 900MHz and solved that one for me. But you didn't tell what yours was, so I can't write if I think it would help.

Yes the cordless was running at 2.4GHz so i unplugged it and try switching to a 900. This cordless phone is new and i just started noticing the problem since we got it, so you are probably correct.

Thanks for the Help

My 2.4GHz is now installed far away from my wireless area.
