what happens if you remove RAC?
Herb....
I have used a wireless USB network adaptor successfully for some time now. I connect it to my desktop running XP home and I am able to connect my laptop running W98 to the internet using a wireless card. No problems. A few days ago I started using Windows Messenger on my desktop. No problem, but I was unable to send files through messenger. I found a work-around on the Messenger website. Go to network connections, advanced, advanced options, then move Remote Access Connections to the top of the list. OK, I did and now I can transfer files. However, my wireless internet no longer works. I fire up my browser and it loads as much as it can in about 5 seconds then the connection drops. I went and moved RAC back to the bottom of the list, but it didn't help. Messenger is the only thing that has changed in about a month on my computer, and I think it is the source of my problem. HELP!
