Wireless connection / icon disappeared outside home

by mauietta / September 28, 2007 12:20 AM PDT

I am not really wireless literate, but use laptop at home all the time and works great. I also work from coffee shop occasionally and that always works fine too.
Suddenly this week i decided to go to coffee shop and now my wireless is gone - the little bars are gone, i dont see the wireless connection options on my start menu or in control panel - how could this all just disappear? I went home and computer works fine there so i am confused - any suggestions? I am on Dell XPS and computer is only about 2 years old.

the coffee shop if they discontinued or are having problems with the wireless service?

It could be that they discontinued the service or the wireless router has problems.

Try another hotspot and see if you can connect there.
