Question

Wireless connection disconnected - help please.

Apr 26, 2015 7:08PM PDT

Hi, I'm in the UK. Since a firmware update a few days ago on the Samsung Smart Hub where they installed Spotify, which I didn't ask for & don't want, I keep having problems connecting to the internet. I know I'm not alone with this issue having done some homework on it but I'm not finding any solutions. Sometimes, after waiting a while it fixes itself, no idea how. Yesterday it wasn't working at all. All I keep getting is that the wireless network is disconnected & it can't connect to the router. There's no problem with the router. I did a reset on the router but that didn't help with this.
I had a bunch of numbers show - IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway & DNS Server - as zeros. I entered new numbers manually. These were Broadband Port numbers & then LAN Port numbers. I don't know what those numbers mean, I'm not technically minded when it comes these sort of details, but they didn't help.
Anyone else having this problem? Can anyone help? Thanks in advance. PS. I see this morning that the Spotify app & the YouTube app have been removed. I still can't get access to the internet though.

I am having the same issue since my TV updated on Friday. Spent an hour with tech support and they tried to blame everything but the TV...only problem was everything else in the house connects fine and the TV connected fine prior to the update. They ended up escalating it, so we will see if I get a reply. Frustrating because connecting to Netflix through the tv is my only way to get the 4K content.

Yep, after update haven't been able to use smarthub even though everything else in the house is connected to the internet.

This is the second or third time its happened and seems to take Samsung ages to fix each time.

Totally lost faith in Samsung...we have Samsung S4 phones at work and they are great for everything - except their reception is so dismal they drop calls all the time.

So a phone I can't phone with and a TV I can't watch TV programmes on....well done Samsung......

Over a week gone by & still no internet available on my so called Smart TV ( now only a TV ). You've removed the apps for Spotify & YouTube & that's it. That's not a fix. What makes this so ridiculous is that I have a Chromebook, a tab & a Smartphone, all Samsung & all can connect to my router no problem. But not my Samsung TV.
Get the internet connection problem working again ASAP.
