Wireless Cards

Feb 6, 2009 11:02AM PST

Hello, I just bought a new HP laptop for my wife. I have a Dell laptop thats 3 years old. Her wireless connection is 10x slower than mine, specifically when loading more graphic intensive sites, sites like gmail load in a blink of an eye. Could it be a problem with the wireless card, should we look at upgrading it?

I've used these 2 models for those reasons and they run about or less than 20 bucks.

Good hunting.

Could also be the drivers aren't the most current.

Check with the vendor website to see the most current driver version.
I just got a new Linksys N router so I got a PC card Linksys wireless card that works fine even in Windows 7 Beta.

Thanks, I'll check into the driver and maybe look for a new card.
