wireless airstation, buffalo help

I have just installed a new dell. I have 3 computers in one room. The main computer has a Linksys broadband router. I am trying to connect the new computer to the broadband, verizon internet, using the Buffalo wireless airstation unit. It is plugged in to the USB port, but neither one of its lights is lit. Please help!
