Wireless

I am new to this whole wireless thing. I have a laptop that came with Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 WLAN (802.11b, 11Mbps)mini PCI card built inside of the laptop. Also I have a Linksys Wireless B Broadband router 2.4 GHz 802.11b for my DSL. I wanted to know if I could just use the mini PCI card that is built inside of my laptop to connect wirelessly. Right now I have bought a Linksys wireless card to put into the card slot of my notebook and that is how I am am connecting to the internet wirelessly. Can I take out the Linksys card and use the mini PCI card and still connect to the internet wirelessly?? Please help me!
