And I'd configure it as a WAP. This forum's top post or welcome down about post 18 tells how.
I currently have a small wired network in my home consisting of a router which is connected to my desktop PC and also to an 8-port switch on the other side of the house. The switch has 4 devices connected to it. This is a 12Mbps broadband service and I run Windows XP Pro on my PC.
I am considering buying an ipod touch, which of course can only connect via Wi-fi, and I would like to be able to connect with it while I'm at home rather than have to go out and find a hot spot somewhere. Is this solution as simple as buying a wireless adapter to connect to my PC? Or will I have to get a wireless router? Or will I have to get both? And if have to have another router, where do I connect it in regards to my other router and switch?
Any help would be appreciated!
