Just bog standard networking. Daisy chaining today would be to use the usually fatal doesn't work setup of router to router to router.
So I am wiring up my home with cat6 (don't try to talk me out of it please), there are three bedrooms, living room, and den, each with three or more lines needed for TV's game systems and all sorts of stuff. I understand that conventional wisdom would say that each device should have its own line back to a switch and each switch should be connected to the router. whats the downside of jumping one switch to another chaining switches together?
