Look up our good friend app Virtual Router to have a PC do this.
Hi,
i have a question about internet connection. I have begun to live in college where is only wired ethernet (RJ45) connection avaiable. You have to configure certificates, username & password and other stuffs on your ethernet adapter to connect to the internet. I would like to make this all wireless. I have tried that with old router still with ADSL
. I have connected college UTP cable to LAN interface and configured LAN IP of the router to a free IP address of college IP scope and then i have configured Wireless Lan to make AP. Well, configuration was ok because I could connect to the internet over wired LAN router interface but Wireless connection could not work. After some time I have figured out that my router does not support WPA2 enterprise encryption so I could not configure wireless adapter as I did that on wired adapter. My first idea was to buy router which supports this encryption but these devices are too expensive. Then i have managed to setup virtual router on my second old laptop and it has worked but this method is not comfortable because you have to turn on second computer to make hotspot. I would like to ask you if there is some comfortable and cheap solution to make this work.
thank you very much.
