Question

Wiping the Verizon LG Optimus Zone 3

May 3, 2017 10:29AM PDT

Bought this phone with the intention of communicating via wifi only. Configured the phone to use a wifi calling app. Worked well until changes were noticed that showed verizon encroaching on the phone operations. Recently discovered that specific steps must be taken to set for wifi or the verizon side of the phone takes over. I can only get to a wifi list of available routers but cannot even see the apps I installed. Followed one posting on how to reconfigure the phone but with no success. Looking for better instructions on how to start again and set this phone for wifi only.

When you install an app, it goes into an app storage area and you need to go there and drag it onto your screen to see and use it.

Much thanks for the timely reply. My issue is much greater than an app install. I am trying to wipe the phone and return it to out of the box status. As of this writing you can do absolutely nothing but select a wifi network or continue to verizon. There is NO action that brings me to the page with the apps. Continued guidance appreciated.

Are you wanting to jailbreak the phone? As for restoring to original configuration, maybe someone who is using it through verizon can help. Have you checked Verizon's site? I'd expect them to have instructions on how to restore it.
