Sorry, should have added, I've none of the original disks either!
I have an old Power Mac G4 running OSX 10.2.8. I want to wipe it completely - how can I do that? I don't know the password to the computer, which doesn't help matters.

without an installation disk, you will not be able to reset the password or wipe the drive.
To do either, you have to boot the machine from a system that is not the internal hard drive.
However, with two internal hard drives, both with a viable system on them, you can boot from one and "fix" the other.
