Often in a design I'll look to common parts that are readily available rather than design a new custom part. In fact we did that just recently with 'clear packing tape.' We needed a pull tab. So a little print on paper, put in the clear tape and viola, our custom pull tab. Sadly we had to write a specification on how to make such.
