WinXP starts each time like it was newly installed

Hi everyones,
my WinXP starts each time like it was newly installed.
All my WindowsXP personals settings are gone any time I start my computer. It loads allways like it was the first runtime and even propose me the traditional "take a tour to windows XP". anybody can help me with that issue??

It also sounds like your account is acting like a "guest account" - so look at Ray Harinec's post and do as he suggests.
You are not telling us very much - you need to help us help you - a few lines is not enough.

when you go into Control Panel and look at the "User Accounts".

Then also try booting up in Safe Mode and see if there is an Administrator account that you do not see in normal boot up.

Trying to understand how you installed XP, whether you established a user account separate from the basic, hidden, administrator account.
