WinXP Pro Disc Cleanup

by phantom1 / April 21, 2004 11:22 AM PDT

Since I installed WinXP in Jan 04 the files in WebClient/Publisher Temporary Files have been mounting up to currently 1500KB and when I activate a disc cleanup all the other files are cleared except these ones.
Can somebody please tell me how to clear these files?
Yes the box to clear is ticked.

You can try to stop the WebClient service. Click Start, Run type services.msc and press Enter. Select the WebClient service and click the Stop link. Exit Services.msc and Restart PC.

Launch disk cleanup and check out the WebClient/Publisher Temporary Files size.

Thanks for that. It seems to have done the job.
