Winxp Media Center TV video problems

I have a Gateway GM5072: AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core processor 4200+ 2.21 GHz. 1.87Gb RAM. This has a NVidia GForce 6100 Display adapter and a TV tuner. The problem is that when I get TV it runs for a few minutes then stops. I have to restart it and it stops again. This is WinXP Media Center Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2. It seemed to run a little better when I installed IE 7 after using IE 6 which was more troublesome. Now it will not allow me to view some movies on AMC channel.I don?t know what to do about this!!
