winsxs is 16GB

Hi friends,

i am using windows vista home premium and i done some online updates so now i am in sp2.

Now my O.S is working fine but my windows folder is 20 Gb in that i observed that winsxs occupied 16GB.How to delete all these unwanted data.

i done disk cleanup for free space .but i got some MB space only.

So please tell me how to get that space back with out formatting O.S.

What I'm hoping for is some name or major name (Dell, IBM, Cnet) to make a stink over this one and then MSFT would include it in disk cleanup.

and as Bob says this has been raised before.

There is no recommended solution available from Microsoft at this time that I know of, nor, apparently, any response from them.
