Actually I agree with Russ Cooper that SP2 and what breaks should be broken to expose what security risk there was with that product.
Corporations will have to do some work since the Internet Connection Firewall will snap on and some will have to learn how to use it or disable it. A good IT will simply poke the needed holes in ICF.
Expect a large wail from non-registered and corporate CDKEY users over this one.
The rumour mill has the word that SP2(build 2162) will be available for production early August 2004.
Apparently a CD will be available for registered MS-XP users to download SP2.
Some features include MS Auto Updater, All new Security, Firewall activity and IE will have its own built in PopUP blocker.
It is rumoured that quite a few non MS software
add-ons may not work with SP2. MS is believed to be working with software companies to aleviate the problem.
