winme. help on update that is ....

i have winme and am using internet explorer. i have updated this on my dell pc (windows media player script command kb(828026) and it has updated into my pc more that 6 times with auto update and each time it udated all were successfull. can anyone help me to get that udate out of my critical update is bothersome to have it there...will it effect my pc with it being udated that many times?...Please help

No, it's a minor bug in Windows Update.

Sometimes people need to read the KB article and decide if they need to install it manually. No fix is available for the reinstall loop issue. Here's why. Today's owners are installing any number of firewalls, popup stoppers and more. Microsoft doesn't test for your setup.

Fix? Workaround? Read KB 828026 at and decide if you want to manually install it.
