WindowsXP - what can I delete

Nov 26, 2004 12:16AM PST

I'm a typical home computer user. I have WindowsXP, but don't use a lot of what comes with it. I use it for AOL, I use Microsoft works, I play games, etc.
Can I safely delete Outlook Express, Windows Messenger, Movie Maker, MSN Gaming Zone, and Net Meeting? I can't see that I will ever use any of these programs, but as a casual user, I don't know if it's safe for me to delete these programs without messing up my whole computer.
Any suqqestions?

Your better off just going in to add/remove programs then click on add/remove windows components and uncheck the programs you do not want. This does not remove them totally from your system. Most of these microsoft programs are inter-twined and removing them from the operating system totally will more than likely have an effect on a few other programs you are running.

You can also type "Prefetch" in the Run command, and delete all those files.
