Is there a way to stop Windows XPro from automatically adding programs I use to my start menu?
Thanks for any ideas, let me know if i can clear anything up.

when you install programs, then watch the install procedure carefully. Many software installation procedures show options, eg Add to Start Menu, or Add Shortcut to Desktop, and so on.
If you are given the option then you can choose to refuse those. If you are not, then you can't stop it. But since those entries in the Start Menu are shortcuts only you can right click them and delete them.
