Windows7 and IE8

I have yet another problem with Win7. 9 times out of 10 when I try to save a web site/page into "Favourites" I get a message thus: "Unable to create.................. Unspecified error" Any ideas what I should do?

Try Safe Mode...

Internet Explorer has its own Safe Mode, accessed by completely closing out of IE, pressing Windows + R, and then entering iexplore -extoff (with the space) into the Run box. If the problem does not persist in Safe Mode, it is likely a third-party plugin/add-on that is causing the problem and needs disabled.
