windows xp wont load

my son has apparentely deleted my registry and I can not get my computer to boot up. It says the registry is missing,corrupt or has been deleted. Please tell me what to do. I have tried booting from the win XP disk but it wont boot up. It show a dumping physcial memory when I attempt to boot.

I tried that also but the keyboard and mouse wont work when I get there either.

...you have deleted more than just the registry files.
Has your son been playing with the bios as well? If you have USB and/or PS2 keyboard or mouse this will be affected.
You could also try a standard keyboard.

If you get a blue screen that says ''Dumping Physical Memory'' you can do any of the following:

1. Shut off until it cools down (sounds funny, but try it). Then ''fix'' from XP disk.

or

2. If you have two hard drives -- switch the Primary hd to secondary and reformat.

or

3. Toss cpu in file 13 and start over with a new cpu.
