slucius, Click Start/Run and type in MSCONFIG and click OK. Look under the Startup tab and uncheck which program (s) you want and reboot your computer. The link below may be of some help.

Hi, although I have had Windows XP home edition for over a year, there are lots of things I do not know and one in particular I need help with soon. I went from Windows 98 to XP and can not find how to do something I could do in Win 98.
In Win 98, you could go to system tools and uncheck or stop things from starting up automatically at startup by checking them (or unchecking them) and then when you rebooted they would not start up. I am unable to find how to do this in Windows XP. There is a program I wanted to stop from automatically starting up, but not remove completely off my pc.
If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it.
Thank you,
slucius
