Ive recently purchased a lite on optical drive it uses sata interface, and I am trying to install it into my windows xp pc but evidently this can be a problem because sata wasnt invented until after the release of xp, or at least that what i have come to understand. Anyway, I cant seem to get it working tried to use the control pannel and add new hard ware didnt exactly happen for me, so I went to liteon website and they dont have any sort of download for this particular optical drive (ihas-324 i think) any help would be appreciated

Installing sata drivers is trying so what we try first is IDE emulation. But since I can't find what the host machine is, or a link to the machine's documentation I'll wait for more details.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
