Windows XP Professional Magnified

Feb 11, 2009 7:31PM PST

Hi all
I have just reformatted my Dell laptop with Windows XP Professional, everything is working (so far), but everything on the screen (including fonts, icons, webpages, EVERYTHING) is magnified, like it's in SafeMode.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks.

(NT) What drivers did you install after you installed Windows?

I installed a 'TEXAS instruments CardBus Controller' Modem thing, and it is displayed under 'PCMCIA adaptors' in the Device manager.

As i said, it looks like it is SafeMode, where everything is magnified.

I have tried to change the DPI, screen resolution, and monitor type but it won't let me click/change/give me any other options for them. They are all set to normal.

the video driver! Surprise?

Other drivers that might be useful: the motherboard drivers, the audio drivers. Simply said: the whole bunch that came with the machine.

Goto the Dell web site, input the Tag code, and see if the drivers are available for download from there.
