Windows XP Professional Log In Problems

Nov 17, 2013 7:46AM PST

Hello,
I am reaching out to anyone who may be able to assist. We had an I.T. from work (previous job) set up out Toshiba to their network and now can't log in with our username or admin. I have read all the forums to press F8 and go through safe mode, and command and type in administrator with nothing in password or password. Also ried the other names they said and nothing works. The original screen shows username, password and log on to (this says EMPLXP126Q (THIS COMPUTER). I am at a complete loss as nothing works and administrator doesn't appear to work either. If you have any other fresh ideas besides the same posts I am all ears. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!!!!! Thank you

Try NTPASSWD

NTPASSWD is supposed to fix this problem. It's a free download, but don't download it from CNET unless you want to get infected with malware.
`
Good luck.

You make a bootable CD with it...

...boot from that CD and follow instructions. When all else fails RTFM. Grin
