Windows XP Pro help please!

I am running XP pro-have two hard drives-when I install programs some of them don't include a shortcut on the desktop--is there anyway to add one? Also in control panel-add/remove the extra drive will not come up, is there any way to remedy this? Thanks!

Windows 101 - Right click on the desktop and use New Shortcut. Add it as you see fit.

As Bob said right click desk top and create new short cut.

Or
In All Programs find the application you wish to use.
Place mouse pointer on application ->
hold down left mouse button and drag to desk top.

Your added hard drive will not show in Add/Remove.
Windows sees' this drive as a device.

In Control Panel ->
Open Administrative Tools ->
Open Computer Management ->

Now I leave you. As their is too much to explain.
Check out the help file in this window.
It will explain much.

Luck
