It's been traced to corrupt files, a misconfigured BIOS, and maybe even old gear.
I don't think anyone can guess which it is given the details but try the old ways of fixing it by reloading the OS and about that FLOPPY. Again that error message is well discussed and most folk disable the floppy in the BIOS to make it go away.
In short. Try google on those error messages to see what folk do about this.
So I'll make this quick and explain it as clear as possible hopefully someone reasdijng can help me. I'm fear from a computer expert but I do know the basica .
I recently got a computer for free when my roomate moved out. I assumed it was going to be good for spare parts at best I mean it was free right. Well to most of u it probably is basically an oversized paper weight but I only have a old macbook g4 w missing charger so its better than nothing. Turns out its got usable hardware better then I thought. It has a nvidia mb k7VTA3 version 6.0 nvidia gforce video card and a decent amount of ram I guess.. He told me that he thought used to overheat. I naturally opened up the case to clean out the dust piled up and check the heat syncs thinking maybe they were loose or needed thermal grease. After sitting in prices for a few weeks I finally got my lazy butt up And put it back together. It fired right up w no problems I set up the wireless network hooked up internet and made a quick attempt to delete old stuff from the previous users. After de
Letting all those things I did a renboot as necessary. I then saw internet explorer had IE 8 so I decided to install it. When I did the computer rebooted again but wouldn't about up after. I would get error code
Say Ing root>\system32\hal.DLL
Itr said the file was either missing or corrupt. I decided to go into safe mode and reboot from last Backup.well go figure they never backed it up. I decided to go into bios and check the settings. I changed the boot loader order after hours of monkeying around and vouala it boots up. Well sort of. Since I don't have a mouse I was using this mini keyboard mouse combo that connects via wireless USB.not was working well now its not so I have no mouse. Next the computer is running so slow I can barely stand to mess w it anymore.next its saying wiring preboot system checks the floppy drive isn't working properly.. The local area connection isn't even showing available. So basically nothing is working since I did the update. I tried to do a system restore but since no one ever backed it up it was useless.I've looked thru bios looking for other options, tries restarting with fail safe defaults and optimized defaults version 4.25.00.34.00 is the bios version it is running through phoenix industries or something. I'll look for more info on it if someone needs to know something else.. hopefully someone can help me out before I pull out my gain. Also I
