Windows XP Media Center Edition

Feb 14, 2006 2:27AM PST

Can anyone tell me where I can download a user manual for Windows XP Media Center? I've looked on the Microsoft XP site, but can't find anything. I need a user's manual or user's guide. Thanks, Pat

There isn't one...

There is no real guide to operating Windows and all of the programs, features, etc that comes with it. If you think about all of the combinations of actions you could have, and all of the problems that could come up, a user's manual would have to be divided into enough sections to fit into the back of a dump truck. Going Start->Help and Support is about the best resource Microsoft offers for the average user. You can also click here to access the Microsoft knowledge base, though it mostly covers more advanced problems that can come up.

Aside from that, there is Microsoft Windows XP Media Center for Dummies, which is the most comprehensive users guide I know of. (A lot of the information it conatins is not exactly for dummies, so it's a valuable reference for a variety of users.) You can also ask individual questions here in these forums...someone's always around provided the needed answers, and combined we have more knowledge than any reference guide can give you.

Hope this helps,
John
