Assuming you don't need/want Novell's NetWare Client Services installed, you can uninstall it, as suggested, by:
* Go start->network connections.
* Right-click Local Area Connection and select properties.
* Select the General tab.
* Find and select the NetWare entry from the list.
* Click the uninstall button.
* Go back and try enabling the welcome screen again.
Hope this helps,
just bought a new laptop and I have a question about something on Windows. When I used to turn on my laptop the welcome screen would show all my user accounts along with a picture on the side of each name. However, now when I log on, i have to type the account name and password into a text box and log in. I went to Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Change the way users log on/off and am running into a problem here. When I go to change it back to its original ways( with usernames and user icons), I am given a message saying "Client Services has disabled the Welcome Screen and Fast User-Switching System. To restore these features, you must unistall client services for Netware."
Could anyone offer me any insight about this? I'll greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
