Windows XP launch / passwrod

Aug 25, 2007 3:50AM PDT

We have a workstation and I just had to add user accounts to that computer. I now want the computer to launch to the user sign-in screen so the user has to load a password each time the computer is booted. I do not want the computer to lauch and load setting automatically; I want it to ask for the password first. I have searched "probably in the wrong places" and cannot find the right menu to make the changes. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, we do have the passwords all set, I need to have the computer access the password log in screen on boot-up. Right now it just loads the setting and does not bring up the log-in screen. I cannot find menu to make that change.

The welcome screen is definetly enabled. For some reason this one workstation does not show it on boot-up.

go to start>run>

control userpasswords2

then check the box saying users must type a password to login
