Hi,
My dad's computer (I know it's not the fastest) constantly keeps turning off and restarting. It doesn't matter what he's doing, whether it be the internet/listening to music/recording videos, the computer just turns off and restarts.
Every time the computer comes back on, a dialog box comes up that says the computer has experienced a serious error. When I clicked send error report, this is the error details:
BCCode: 100000d1 BCP1: 00000494 BCP2: 00000009 BCP3: 00000000 BCP4: F93F8DC1 OSVer: 5_1_2600 SP: 3_0 Product: 256_1
However, when I did try to submit the error report, this appeared:
Corrupted error report
Unfortunately, the error report you submitted is corrupted and can't be analyzed. Corrupted error reports are rare. They can be caused by hardware or software problems, and usually indicate a serious problem with your computer.
So... even the error reports have errors!
I was wondering if anyone had any solutions to this? I'm aware it's a pretty old computer but my dad obviously doesn't want to spend more to get a new one. Any help appreciated
Also, system restore possibly won't be any help as he has a lot of videos on here that he wants to keep and IIRC system restore would delete recent ones? Correct me if I'm wrong. I'll obviously try and get him to back up the files soon.
Thanks in advance.
