Here's the .exe fix -> http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm (use the EXE one)
It's something malware does. Grif has some advice about that at 7726-6132_102-5098912.html?tag=posts;msg5099421
Bob
I am working on a co-workers laptop and it will not open any executable files. I tried doing a repair but it will not complete the install. I am trying to save his files but I may have to wipe. Message is there is no program associated with the file that I am trying to run - please go to folder options and set one up (not exactly, but something like that) I have never seen this come up on any computer - he thinks he had a virus on it, but I think someone who doesn't know what they were doing deleted something in folder options.... any idea on how to fix?
